An educator asked,
Will principals still be issued a provisional license when they complete their programs?
Jennifer Kangas, Director of the Office of Educator Licensure, responded
The Office of Educator Licensure stopped issuing provisional principal licenses on January 1, 2010. Institutes of Higher Education have been recommending people directly for the five-year professional principal's license since then.

FEEDBACK to Regional LPDC Webinar
Please provide us some feedback to your webinar experience.
We are doing our best to serve the needs of the LPDC and save everyone the cost/stress of traveling to face-to-face meetings.
Please tell us what is working well and what could be areas for improvement!
Thank you for your help,
Lorie Owens on behalf of the Regional LPDC Support Team

A member of our elementary staff wants to be granted 248 contact hours for being a cooperating teacher this fall (August through December). These are uncharted waters for us and we were hoping for some advice as to how to proceed.

Welcome
This blog was created to share the wealth of experience represented in a long-standing ODE Committee, the Regional Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) Support Team.
These veteran educators and LPDC team members have invested as many as five years keeping abreast of the work of the Ohio Department of Education and its relationship to the work of the LPDCs. They host regional informational meetings each fall and spring.
This year the RLPDC is expanding its capacity to include virtual communication by hosting webinars in the spring and this blog page throughout the year.
Do you have a question for our team? Post it here and the full Regional Team will weigh in to offer input regarding your LPDC issue.
